The Benefits Of Cleaning With Microfiber
The exclusive properties of microfiber make it a very unique material. The microscopic fibers on the surface make it possible to clean areas that would be otherwise inaccessible. Microfibers penetrate the surface, making cleaning small areas, even areas invisible to the human eye possible. The smallest particles of dirt, dust, grease, oil, and moisture get swept up by the sharp edges of the microfiber. With great ease microfiber is able to lift bacteria and germs from any surface. This “magic” effect is achieved by the special microscopic triangle fabric structure that is a result of the splitting of the polyamide and polyester components. The surface of the microfiber is also electromagnetically charged to have a grabbing effect on dust particles and other debris.
Microfiber has hygroscopicity (extremely absorbent) being able to absorb up to 25 times its weight in liquid. The microfiber stores water in the microscopic hairs, as opposed to cotton which is rounded in shape and when moistened reaches its saturation point easily. (See Diagram Below) The microfiber is on the left and the cotton is on the right.
With the evolution of microfiber they have been able to create products tailored to certain needs including fabrics that go unaffected by wind, rain, and cold elements. This is possible through weaving the products so tightly that they cannot be penetrated. Microfibers also have a wicking ability to allow perspiration to pass through the fabric. If you have a need, there is surely a microfiber that can accommodate it.
